Phoolwalon Ki Sair: A walk through Mehrauli Village

This heritage walk takes you through Mehrauli village during the historic phoolwalon ki sair or the flower-sellers’ festival. Every year, fans made of flowers are offered at the shrine of sufi saint, Bakhtiyar kaki and the Hindu shrine of Yogmaya & the streets of village are decked up for the occasion. The walk explores stories of people and places associated with this festival: the Jogmaya temple, Adam Khan’s tomb, Qutb Sahib’s dargah, the summer palace of the Mughals and the ship palace.
